1947 28 MHz AM Mobile

Here are pictures of my home brew 1947 28 MHz AM crystal controled mobile rig. After 62 ears of selling it I saw it on eBay and managed to secure it, now in my shop with my Yaesu FT 101D I would like to know the history of where was for those 62 years ?
